Background Music System Beaches expanded their very successful resort at Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands recently. Although the requirement for the entertainment systems was mostly only background music, it still is cutting edge. Beaches Provo is the third Sandals owned resort that has upgraded to a computer run background music system. The Mac based system plays high quality MP3s throughout the day. The system starts in the morning with instrumental music then in the late morning lite pop is on tap. In the afternoon the music knocks it up a few notches with Reggae mixed with Rock and in the evening the day ends with love Ballads. The music encompasses you as you take an evening stroll around the pool without knowing where the music is coming from due to the use of OWI Rock Speakers. The music selections are all done automatically and can be modified by management. Gone are the days of skipping worn out CDs playing the same music over and over again. No one wants to hear Bob Marley's "I shot the sheriff" 5 times a day every day no matter how great that song is.

Beaches also has a relationship with Sesame Street and in the kids restaurant, kid music plays thanks to a dedicated iPod.

Is there a birthday boy or girl in the house?

With a push of a button on a crestron wall panel staff can play happy birthday at anytime as well as the sesame street theme for a restaurant character parade.
